The Model Railroad Club of the Concho Valley
Meets Saturdays at the Museum at 10 am
Started in 1997 to promote Model Railroading in San Angelo and the surrounding area, the club welcomes members of all ages and with all skill levels, from beginners to advance craftsman.
Under the protective Corporate structure of the Historic Orient-Santa Fe Depot, Inc., the club and its members spend much of their time in developing, building and running displays of model trains in Z, N, HO, O and G gauges for the museums permanent displays like the new HO layout of the KCM&O as it heads West out of San Angelo and passes through Barnahart, Fort Stockton and Presidio before passing over the Mexican Border at Presidio and on to the beautifully Copper Canyon region of Mexico. Special events like Santa's Santa Fe Christmas are also high on the clubs annual agenda
The group's Monthly meeting is held on the the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7 PM upstairs at the Museum.
