Your donation will be matched and cash prizes will be given to the Railway Museum based on total donations made. Donations of over $100.00 will receive an annual Museum pass for 4 people and a 10% discount on purchases at the museum.
Military Appreciation Day at the Depot

Coinciding with national celebrations during Military Appreciation Month (May), the RMSA invited all active-duty service members, retirees, and their dependents to enjoy free admission, children’s activities ,and music at the Depot. Thank you for your service!
Santa Rita History Day at the Depot
Saturday, June 3, 2017 | 10:00AM – 4:00PM
The Depot is celebrating the rich heritage of San Angelo during the Oil Boom of the 1920's and 30's and events surrounding Santa Rita #1 the first oil well in West Texas and its relationship to rail history with the "Santa Rita #1 and History Day". You will enjoy a day of live music, Flea Market, special exhibits of Texon , Texas and anew exhibit of Railroad Oil Tank cars from the earliest to present time with presentation on the evolution of tank cars to carry more product safely.
Saturday, July 29, 2017 | 10:00AM – 4:00PM
Join in the fun and rich heritage of the American Hobo. Events during the day will include "Hobo Stew", Costume contest at 2 pm. And It’s hot enough to fry an egg on the track! The Depot will celebrate Hobos and the hot days of summer with a competition at 3 PM where guests (ages 13-5,6-12) will receive an egg with their admission and encouraged to “fry” the egg on the rail. Prizes will be awarded to all of the Winners .
National Free Admission Museum Day
Saturday, September 23, 2017 | 10:00AM – 4:00PM
In conjunction with the Smithsonian Museum National and Local celebrations, the RMSA will offer free admission to the public. Fort Concho and The Art Museum are also participating again in this event

A much anticipated tradition at the RMSA, Santa’s Santa Fe Christmas 2017 will feature children’s activities, and beautiful holiday decorations throughout the Depot. Jolly ol’ St. Nick will also be on hand to celebrate this special time of year. He will arrive by train at the depot on Saturday November 25th at 10 AM. for a short visit until noon at the Museum. Then Santa will be back every Friday and Saturday through the 19th of December.
